Every artist needs recognition. Recognition can be hard to achieve and sometimes only comes post-mortem. But if recognition is difficult to get, evaluation and rating of work of arts are much easier to find. And wile in the precomputer days only a few people could afford showing off their paintings, novels or poems, Internet has changed the situation completely: nowadays the issue is not about showing off your work, it is about finding an audience.

Last week a new service was launched intended to gather all the creative people in a single place – at Humble Voice. Unlike many blogging portals having extensive functions resulting in heterogeneous audience, Humble Voice is a very targeted project: it is only intended for creative people.

New account registration

During registration a user is offered to choose what type of account he or she is willing to have:

  • a standard account intended to host videos, photos and other works of arts (even in this case you will need to specify your primary activity for the system to offer you an optimum interface and set of tools); or
  • a special band mini-site which is intended especially for musicians.

Customization of a user profile layout

Humble Voice provides a user with quite an extensive liberty on customizing his or her profile. When a user runs out of space within a single page, he can create multiple additional tabs. The required widgets can be dragged and dropped to arrange them within these pages. These widgets include announcements of the latest music submitted, photos, texts.

By the way, the website is not humorless at all: various gags are scattered all around.

Everything a user publishes at Humble Voice can be bookmarked, rated by other users and tagged. This will be very useful when the website accumulates a large quantity of media content. And I don’t think it will take too much time: with users enabled to display their creativity even in layouts of their profiles, I believe it will be a very appealing service for all the creative people.
