I’m just having way too much fun here and my schedule is pretty jam packed with friends i want to see. Makes me realize that the amount of time i had scheduled just isn’t enough. If only i could be here for a  month then it’d be all good. Alas, we only have a few more days here and its nerve racking. I’d love to make time and see my friends some more especially a few special ones who will be going to china this weekend. D’oh! talk about bad timing. it’s all good. we hung out last night and it was pretty fun. seriously cute fun. haha. JJAN!

on another note…there is this channel here called Channel J which is the japanese channel and they have two shows that I am seriously in love with and would love to somehow bring to the states. They are called Idol Colliseum and Idol Survivor. Basically contests where potential japan AV Idols play games or fight. Its oddly arousing but arousing nonetheless.

i forgot exactly how exhausting it is to try and carry on a conversation in loud places. earlier today when we were hanging out at coffee bean with my friends from igs, the place was so loud that it was nearly impossible for me to hear what was going on as the noises were all being funneled into one ear. after we had left, i was pretty damn tired from all the concentrating and what not.

times like that i totally hate what happened and get all depressed. stupid ear. what a difference an ear makes.

at least there’s a lot of eye candy going on which makes it a bit more bearable. thank god for so many cute chicks, even if dr’s had a hand in it.

It’s raining…booooo!!! met up with my old friends from IGS and it was really good seeing them. Seung-kee and yohan were cool and still look the same. Too bad nanyoon is all locked up in the relationship game. i would have loved to see her again, alas she’s wifey’d up and off the market. Found out that seung-kee’s dad is now the ceo of hyundai dept store which is a super big ass deal and yohan has amibitions of starting up a new import/export company. Will have to keep in touch and work things out with him for US distribution. Aside from business, it was awesome seeing them again as it’s been a little over 5 years since I last saw them. Damn, I can’t beleive it’s been that long.

And now that it’s raining…time to relax and have me some down time to get adjusted as it’s been a whirlwind of nonstop eating and drinking until 4am every night since we got here. oye.

can’t wait for tomorrow night though…woohoo!!! Will update mas pictures in a bit since day 4 has really only just begun. man, i so don’t want to go home.

i am adam…and isms are my game. quick summary before i pass out. so dave and i are in the subway waiting for one to come in this sardine packed subway and i see this girl…of course i see this girl bc she’s cute as hell. so per usual, im talking smack to dave about her and she keeps looking at me and i’m wondering can she understand. so she gets on the subway and we dont fit in because there is just too many people in the subway already. finally we get onto a subway and we head off to see joe. and as we exit…who do i see? i see that girl standing there next to some guy and she sees me and just starts to smile and looks away. so me..(yes, this is the quick version). So I go up to her, tap her on her shoulder and say whats up (in korean). I then say, you with this guy (in english)? and i’m like d’oh. So i asked in korean and she’s like, i speak english. I was like, fuck, and she says she’s from dc…her name is blahblah, and she says she’s not with this guy. so i say, come with us to where we’re going and bam, she smacks me with the ‘i have a bf routine’ and i’m like who cares, he’s not here and im only here for a 2 weeks. haha…she smiled and off i went.

faux pas…total faux pas. hence from today on i shall no longer speak that way assuming they dont understand. hahaha…i’m pretty sure it was bc i made a pretty jacked up comment about her pimples in the subway. hahaha. now thats a total adam-ism!

im in korea…finally. as usual, a trip without some drama or adam-isms isn’t a trip worth taking, and on that note here is what happened.

I had told everyone in korea that I would be landing here on friday morning and so we made plans to see everyone on friday, booked the hotel to start on friday and a whole slew of other stuff to happen on friday. But we landed on thursday! wtf? Somewhere along the lines of getting the tickets and calculating the dates and stuff, i mucked it all up. So what happens? Not a whole lot of drama and its great to have had an extra day, but man, did it wreak havoc with our friends schedules.

And then this afternoon, going to my old office…we got lost. when i say lost, i mean completely and utterly lost. Shoot, we even walked right by it at one point and things looked totally different. Oye…how much has changed in the 5 years since I was last here.

Its so great to be back. I’m worried that I may somehow just happen to miss my flight and not be able to get another one. oye.

Pics and more updates will come soon. I left my camera at my friends place so I havent been able to upload anything. We also had some issues with our power converters so we havent been able to recharge our lappys.

in the 24 hrs that we’ve been here i think we’ve probably walked about 20 miles…at least thats how much it seems.

October is almost over already. That means 2 things….Korea here i come! and on a lighter note….its been over 1 year since i lost my hearing in my left ear. How has this affected my life?

For one thing…it makes dating a bit more difficult because picking up the ladies at the usual places such as bars and clubs because the loud noises are disorienting. good thing i likes my coffee shops and bookstores where its quiet and I’m able to actually carry on a conversation with said ladies.

A good thing that has come out of it is that if I can ignore people and just tell them that I didnt hear them because i’m deaf. That has come in handy quite a few times…esp with said ladies.

Some downers are that I find it difficult at times to enjoy music and tv. the latter is  a downer because I like to lay on the couch and watch tv but i like lying down on my right side which doesnt bode well for hearing the show. Another downer is that I cant carry on a conversation if there is too much ambient noise because all of those sounds are getting funneled through one ear and  its just a nightmare to process.

Such is life. All I can do is accept my situation and make the most of it. So to that special chica out there….it’s not you…it’s me. Yes I get a bit frustrated when I cant hear you over dinner at a restaurant and all I can do is nod because i’m embarrassed to keep asking you to repeat yourself. Thats my hang up. So let’s skip the formal dinners and just rent a movie and I’ll cook. Or better yet, you cook, i’ll clean and supply the movie.
