and the score is…
blog what?
back to square one. what to blog about? i hate jumping around, but i have several places where I do my writing and its gotten me all cluttered up.
I am going to keep posting pics and stuff on this blog along with product reviews and what I find interesting. Personal notes and thoughts will be saved for the other places.
I may even slip some passages of my book here so the 3 of you that read this can comment.
little things…
if its the little things that make you happy, then why not do more of them everyday?
what are your favorite things?
- morning dew
- smile from that special someone (you know who you are)
- laughter
- sunsets
- reading
- writing
- iced tea
i need to revisit this list as i have discarded many little things that brought me joy for a few big things that make me happy…in the end its still the little things that I cherish the most.

Mini UAV using Parallax Propeller chip
Here’s a work-in-progress, from a guy who’s building a mini UAV, using a Blade CX2 R/C helicopter and the awesome Parallax Propeller Chip. He writes of the build:
The CX2 controller has 4 potentiometers into which I spliced a breadboard. A Parallax Propeller (prop chip) is used to read the control stick voltages through a simple Delta - Sigma ADC… receive live data from another prop-based system resident on the heli, some control laws are (will be) applied, and the new voltages are output using a PWM based DAC (couplea caps, couplea resistors…). The prop also can talk to a laptop thru its USB port. I have some java code which displays various outputs (very much a work in progress and not currently a high priority).

Chicago’s Conscious Caterer, Chef Greg Christian, pulls out of the bureaucratic Chicago Public Schools after too much resistance. This is pretty much a stand against the system which cautiously let them in and then resisted his innovative program every step of the way dispite praise from both parents and kids. Best Quote: “I realized there was no buy-in from CPS. They value unions and milk contracts above the health of our kids.” by Chef Christian.
