Que suerte. What luck. My first real vacation in 4 years and I’m sick! What are the odds? Has it really been that long since I went boarding yet alone take a vacation? I believe so. Granted it’s just a weekend trip but still. Its boarding!
I better not be sick otherwise I’m just going to have to get everyone on the mountain sick because ain’t no stopping me!

My dog…gomdori is his name. Tonight I made the final decision to put my awesome dog to sleep. He’s been in some pain and he’s been putting up a brave front, wagging his tail and smiling and showing me he can still run, but he’s definitely in pain. His eyes says so. This has been the inevitable. A moment I had been dreading for a while now. But the time has come.
There’s a reason why he’s my dog. I brought him home when from the breeder place. I played with him. I fed him. But I didnt bathe him. So he loved me more than anyone. Whenever I came home from school, as soon as he’d here the sliding door, he was all over me. We picked the runt of the litter of Jindo’s, the one that everyone else had passed on, and he grew up to be the best looking one, the strongest one, and the smartest one. From day 1 we never had to potty train him. He just knew. The moment we got out of the car from his very first ride home, as soon as I put him down on the ground, he gunned it for the lawn, and did his thing.
I knew from that moment on, this was definitely my dog.
it didnt take long for the seki to grow big and strong and wanting to kick some ass. That teenager in him was fierce. Whenever I walked him down the street, he’d be pulling on the leash like none other. And if there was another dog somewhere, oh boy. Better hope I had my running shoes on, because there was no stopping him.
By the end of his first year, he was THE DOG in the neighborhood. He totally owned all of the other dogs. He kicked all of their asses one by one. Sometimes he took a gang of them on. It was scary but awesome nonetheless.
He was definitely a chick magnet. Whenever I’d walk him, without fail, every girl we’d pass would stop and pet him and BAM! I’d close the deal. Oh yeah. we made a great team. Like Crockett and Tubbs.
He was also a great guard dog. He had the killer instinct. I don’t know who taught him, but somehow he knew what to go after if someone busts into our house. He was always chasing down squirrels and birds and whatever ugly rodent decided to cross his path.
But there was a softer side to him. Whenever we had vegetables in our yard, and my dad would be picking off snails, my dog would help him out and also pull off snails and place them in the big snail pile, without even cracking the shell. He was so smart. No one even taught him that. He just did it.
My dog. I love my dog.

10 mins makes a BIG difference in the morning it seems. Just before I got off my exit, I see this HUGE black thing flying towards me then I hear a BAM! Next thing I know, there is a nice round crack in my windshield.
To top it all off, as soon as I park my car and get out, the sprinklers come on and my legs get soaked and the inside of my car gets all wet.
Oye…its going to be one of those days.
