Jack wakes up with a huge hangover after attending his company’s Christmas Party. Jack is not normally a drinker, but the drinks didn’t taste like alcohol at all. He didn’t even remember how he got home from the party. As bad as he was feeling, he wondered if he did something wrong.
Jack had to force himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he sees is a couple of aspirins next to a glass of water on the side table. And, next to them, a single red rose! Jack sits up and sees his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed. He looks around the room and sees that it is in perfect order, spotlessly clean. So is the rest of the house.

He takes the aspirins, cringes when he sees a huge black eye staring back at him in the bathroom mirror. Then he notices a note hanging on the corner of the mirror written in red with little hearts on it and a kiss mark from his wife in lipstick: “Honey, breakfast is on the stove, I left early to get groceries to make you your favorite dinner tonight. I love you, darling! Love, Jillian”

He stumbles to the kitchen and sure enough, there is hot breakfast, steaming hot coffee and the morning newspaper. His son is also at the table, eating. Jack asks, “Son…what happened last night?”
“Well, you came home after 3 A.M. , drunk and out of your mind. You fell over the coffee table and broke it, and then you puked in the hallway, and got that black eye when you ran into the door. Confused, he asked his son, “So, why is everything in such perfect order and so clean? I have a rose, and breakfast is on the table waiting for me??”
His son replies, “Oh THAT!… Mom dragged you to the bedroom, and when she tried to take your pants off, you screamed, “Leave me alone, I’m married!!”

Lately, Yahoo! has been lagging in the innovations department, usually playing the ‘me too’ game and not really able to pull it off as they should be able to. So they need a hit as much as Britney Spears needs to get some underwear.

So here’s my idea for Yahoo! to make the greatest comeback since John Travolta after Pulp Fiction.

I call it Yahoo! ICE. ICE stands for Interconnected Communications Experience. What does this jargon mean? It is a way for the user to truly experience seamless computing when moving from computer to computer and computer to mobile and vice versa.

How could this be done? In a simplistic way, it can be done using the Yahoo! toolbar and your login id. The way I envision this work would be for Yahoo!’s toolbar to take advantage of sitting inside any web browser and basically taking a snapshot of what the logged in user is browsing.

For instance if the user is using Firefox and is surfing a bunch of sites, the toolbar takes a snapshot of all of the open tabs then uploads this bit to their servers, ready to be opened. The user then logs into their Yahoo! account via their java enabled phone and up comes the latest page they were viewing at the exact point they left off with all of the other tabs loading in the background. Unlimited data usage is recommended. Once the user finishes viewing the sites or views new sites, the program takes a snap shop and sends it back to Yahoo!. Now when the user goes back to their computer, any computer, once they log in, again the same tabs will open in their favorite browser and leave them at the exact point they left off. You get the picture right?

With all of this talk about mobile computing and being connected everywhere, I want something that will give me that truly seamless experience from any computer to any mobile device. I do a lot of web surfing and when I go out I hate it when I forget what sites I had opened and what news I was reading before I left the office.

If anyone at Yahoo! is reading this, get on the ball and go do it! If you do this, I will definitely remove my google toolbar and install the Yahoo! toolbar.

Now onto the most important question. Why did I choose Yahoo!? Other than the fact that they have tons of properties that will be useful with this, it’s because they also have a Burbank, CA office and I’d like to get a job in their product development sector.

My niece simply loves Hello Kitty. I don’t see what’s with the fascination. It’s pink and a cat. I get it. And yet I don’t.

So instead of buying her all these Hello Kitty things, I figured, we all love breakfast foods an she loves Hello Kitty. So let’s get something that combines the two.

And here we are. the Hello Kitty Toaster and Hello Kitty Waffle Maker. Not too shabby for under $40. Now if only they made a Hello Kitty grillmaster.

Here’s the breakdown.

- cubicles suck

- no flex time sucks

- face time is so pass

why is it that if 99.99999% of my work is done online do I have to commute for 1.5 hrs each way, every day? What’s face time good for if we never really have it? The most interaction I have with my fellow co-workers is…on IM!!! Wtf?!! And this is even if they sit next to me, behind me or across from me.

So…i have to come in and give face time so you feel good that I am here for 8 hrs, even if most of us only put in 3-4 hrs of solid work a day bc face time = bullshitting time among co-workers.

Yeesh…wheres my pink slip already?

Interesting view of the sky when I came into work today. I can’t see the detail but its raining balls on the left side and nada on the right side.

This picture reminds me of that movie…day after tomorrow, where there is this big eye of the storm and shoots downs super cold air freezing everything….pretty cool scene.
