There’s this show on FUSE, the better video music channel than the original, called the P.A. It stars a PA, Josh, and basically just shows him doing his thing. I dont make it sound all that great, but you have to watch. It’s pretty awesome. I dont know what time it’s on, as it’s just tivo’d, but i’m sure they will run it like crazy.

You can check it out at www.fuse.tv/pa. he also has a blog at fuseblog.typepad.com/pa.

In the latest episode, look for the chick that is hosting the Dance Off Pants Off thing. mmm….how they grow. haha.

And if you actually watch it…regardless of how bitchy the head PA Ellie is, she’s kind’a hot in that funky sort of way.

Check out the show. It’s pretty cool.

OK…we all know that dogs like to drink out of the toilet. But c’mon!

Check out this awesome refilling dog bowl that is in the shape of a toilet! You place a 2 liter water bottle into the tank part and the dog can drink out of the bowl. It’s quite ingenious.

It the litigation loving US, it looks like the techies are about to revolt. According tho this article at ComputerWorld
it seems that because of all of these portable devices such as RIM’s blackberry, smart phones such as the Treo, and laptops, that many people are in constant contact with work and have no real personal lives because they are unable to define the fine line between work stuff and personal stuff.

So in retaliation, the techies may soon revolt by suing their employers for making their jobs easier, but having to deal with work on a 24-7 basis.

Do you agree with this? I know I am always working…when I’m not ill. Since I don’t have a social life, I can’t really complain, but when I am out, on those rare occasions, I don’t work, unless of course I have to, but 9 out of 10 times, if i get emails, or work related phone calls, its all ignored until later. That is of course unless it’s an emergency. But those are rare.

There are speculations abound that say that Apple may drop am Intel Core 2 Duo processor based Macbook Pro Sept 16 after it’s held its annual conference in Paris. But I wouldn’t hold my breath. Steve doesn’t really drop products at the Paris event, plus he’s not even going to be there!

But since Intel did get the chips out and there are already laptops out there with the chips for sale, it shouldn’t be a surprise.

So if you’ve been waiting to get a Macbook Pro, it may be good to wait, if anything for getting a MBP that is cheaper because it’s running the Core Duo.

I’m a little bit late on the news because of being ill, but there looks to be some new pics of the Treo 750, which is the antennae-less - thinner one we had all pined about.

Take a look your self here.

My wishlist for the treo sure hasn’t come true, and I can’t find the post for it so I shall reiterate i here.

1. internal mini hard drive - at least 2 GB. This will ensure that I can have all of my programs and whatever else loaded directly onto the treo. There should also be a good amount of flash for those programs that are accessed the most. Battery would suck, but using a 2400mAh is pretty decent along with a car charger and extra battery.

2. larger screen - as much as I like the screen on the Treo 650, it could be a bit larger. Like an inch larger.

3. wifi - as with everything else, if this little guy had wi-fi, it would totally replace my laptop as my main buddy, especially with a larger screen, docs to go, and an external bluetooth keyboard.

4. no antennae - this is happening in the Treo 750, but it’s not making me want to upgrade because it is still lacking some key features. See 1 - 3 above.

5. better speakerphone - the current speakerphone is too tinny. although it’s better than most, it still blows.

6. regular headphone jack - using the mini jack is cute and all, but when it comes down to it, I don’t carry all of the needed accessories to fully use my Treo with me at all times. So let’s have one less accessory and use a regular jack.

7. SD card cover - finally placed in the 750, but too little too late. I’ve already lost a few SD cards but now I have figured out how to keep them in place. I basically bought a speck skintight case that covers the sd slot, and just cut a slit so that the silicone still holds the sd card in place.

8. reset hole in battery cover - this is so simple. Instead seido had to create a cover with a reset hole. I got it because my Treo would regularly need hard resets and taking off the speck covers really stretched it out. Stretchy no more.

9. left intentionally blank

10. Better battery to begin with.

Still deaf

Uncategorized No Comments »

Yup. Still deaf. Went to a specialist today and took some tests. Basically, I do have Sudden Hearing Loss, and my hearing in my left year is pretty much gone.

I have an MRI on wed, and hope to see what’s causing it. I think a tumor. Any betters out there? I say tumor.

In any case, I can’t go to work for a week…which on the surface sounds great, but for those that know me, this sucks balls. I can’t really do much of anything right now, it sucks to lie down, it sucks to sit up, I can’t walk or drive without wanting to barf. Its like i need to be in a state of floatation so that I don’t feel ill.

Totally blows.

Be able to find yourself using Google mobile Maps. Yes, this has been out for a while, but there are many of you that don’t know about it.

So use your multimedia mobile phone and go to www.google.com/gmm on your cell phone. This will let you know if you can use the service.

What sucks is that they don’t support my trusty little treo 650 just yet which totally blows.

This is definitely a cool service and you can also track traffic.

From a digg.com comments. makes sense. My main suggestion is that when using these services, don’t login to critical sites such as your bank accounts, credit card info, and don’t do any type of shopping online. Just browse for browsing and if needed, create a vpn to do any type of secure work.

1. Disable Wi-Fi ad-hoc mode
2. Use a wireless Virtual Private Network (VPN)
3. Use an encrypted USB flash drive.
4. Use a personal firewall.
5. Turn off file sharing.
6. Make sure the hotspot is a legitimate one.
7. Disable or remove your wireless adapter if you’re working offline.
8. Use email encryption.
9. Look over your shoulder.
10. Don’t leave your laptop alone.
