Daily Clerks

It has now been 7 days since I lost my hearing in my left ear. Still disoriented. Still dizzy. Still nauseous. It’s definitely been weird when I hear people talking, because I keep turning to my right, when they are really near my left side. So it’s been wacky. I don’t recall if I already said this, but I realized how often I talk to people on my left side. When I am walking around with people, I am normally on their right side. Pretty wacky. But now I have to just really deal with this. And it’s kinda depressing. I’ve read some articles that some people that have had Sudden Hearing Loss have gained their hearing back spontaneously. i do hope that is something that happens to me, but we’ll see how it goes. For today, I am getting an MRI to see what could have been the cause of the Sudden Hearing Loss.

For now though, all I can do is just wait and see really, and try not to lose my hearing in my good ear. What’s really annoying is that there is almost this constant high pitch sound in my left year. I can’t get rid of it. I hope that’s a good sign that I haven’t totally lost my hearing. But for now, I can’t hear jack crap out of it. Pretty sucky. But the fact that I am still dizzy and nauseous is what really worries me. I mean, what will this be something that I have from now on? Is it because I lost my hearing and I’m just disoriented? I hope I get used to it so I can actually get some work done and just diddle around waiting to vomit.

So what’s in store for the future? Who knows. If a hearing aid is a possibility then I would definitely get one…stylish one of course and hopefully an in-ear unit. If that’s not a possibility, learn to talk to people on my right side, and get used to it.

That’s life…Gotta roll with the punches. This isn’t my first set back, and probably not my last.

I just can’t wait to see what the cause is.
