MacBook Laptop Bag
If you just purchased a macbook, you’re probably also looking for a bag to keep it all nice and tidy.
So without further ado, here are a few that I recently purchased to see what would work best.
First up, timbuk2’s Laptop Commute.

I’ve been using this bag the most, and it’s by far my favorite. The laptop compartment is pretty well padded, there are enough pockets to hold your gear, like an ipod, keys, change, memory cards, etc. There is a compartment behind the bag that also has some pouches. I place my headphones in one, apple remote in another, and my wireless mouse.
The only bad thing I have to say about this bag, is that once you put your laptop in it, along with the your ac adapter, it can’t fit too many books. I have my notepad and a book, and that’s about all it can fit. You can stuff your digital camera in there, but it can get pretty cramped.
The side pockets can hold small water bottles, which is decent, but that’s about it. One thing that I had failed to get with this bag was the shoulder pad, which I thought it came with it, but it didn’t, so i highly recommend purchasing one, otherwise, when you load up the bag, with your laptop and other gear, your shoulder will be in for a hurting.

Granted this bag is a bit on the pricey side, but as they say, you get what you pay for. And this bag lives by its price, and then some. I love how roomy the bag is even when placing the laptop inside of the sleeve, there are still tons of room in the front panel that can hold your books, notepads, and other accessories.
The bag itself is made of a very strong material, ballistic nylon. Even the name says it all. Taking the bag through it’s paces was relatively easy, as I do a lot of traveling, so I needed something that could hold everything I need at an easy reach and be able to take it on a plane.
With it’s pretty low profile look, and huge storage capacity, I can easily keep everything I need in this bag.
The only real gripe that I have is that hte side pockets can hold a water bottle, but because they are zippered, it’s not as elastic as I would like them to be. And, the bag itself, while empty, is pretty darn heavy, but with a lifetime warranty, who cares. Drop it, throw it around, it’s all good. We all need the workout right? Please note that I don’t recommend throwing the bag around with your laptop inside of it.
The straps are also very comfy, even when the bag is completely overloaded.
