If you are looking for a great portable USB multi format card reader, this is the last one you’ll ever need….for this week anyhow. The Sandisk imagemate is a 12 in 1 reader that offers portability. It can be removed from its docking station and be taken with you on the road. This is great for all of us road warriors that have more than 1 type of card. If you’re like me, you have more than one type. My pda takes SD cards, my pocket digital camera takes memory sticks, my phone takes sd cards, and I have loads of CF II cards around for my Digital SLR. Why so many different types? Other than the manufacturers trying to get us to use their own stuff (Sony), I originally purchased each of these items based on what I needed at the time. It didn’t really dawn on me to stay with one storage type, but now that I actually carry multiple devices for trips and my new laptop doesnt have a multicard reader built in, i needed a better solution than carrying multiple plugs to be able to download data from the cards onto my laptop.
Hence, this bad boy. If you carry multiple devices and need to be able to transfer files from different cards, I highly recommend this.

This is a a blurb about great customer care and service. Recently my Logitech Cordless Freedom Duo keyboard and mouse set broke. Actually it was the left click of the mouse. i guess all of that clicking is no good.
So I emailed the customer service to see which mouse is compatible with my receiver so that I dont have to take up another usb port. They were a bit slow on the reply, about 3 days, at which time I purchased a new media mouse. This was the only mouse that wasn’t shaped funny or specifically for right handed gaming.
Anyways, they get back to me and they tell me to call their customer service care to see if the set was under warranty. I figured it’d be impossible, as most warranties are 1 year and 3 years at the most. I bought this set a little over 3 years ago, so either I thought I’m screwed. But I gave it a try anyways, incease I can get one of the customer service people to help me out somehow. Like let me send in the mouse for repairs or something.
A few minutes after talking to them, and giving them as much info about my set as poosible since the model numbers and what not have all faded and impossible to see. After a bit of investigating, she informs me that she has found the model type of my set and that it has a 5 year warranty. 5 year warranty! She then tells me that I will be sent the LX 500 since that is the closest thing they had to my model. Did I hear you correctly? You were going to send me a new set? Really? A new set?
After my shock, I gave them my shipping address and thanked them. SImple as that!
I knew there was a reason why I liked them so much. Too bad they discontinued my keyboards and favorite sets. I wonder why they decided to change out their keyboard design. In an age of cost cutting and questionable customer service it was very refreshing to get such awesome support and awesome warranty!
