No, this isn’t a new Apple thing. It’s an online radio station called idobi radio. I just found it on itunes using their radio selection because I left my iPod somewhere. I’m hoping its in the car, otherwise I have no clue where it is as the last time I used it was Friday somewhere. Anyhow, this radio station plays pretty cool indie rock and as their site says, music that doesn’t suck.

So far, I must admit that it has been quite good. Quite a few new bands that I liked, and it really helps break up the monotonous routine of listening to pretty much the same songs over and over again.

Which brings me to a nice little segue. Why is it that even though I have almost 6 GB of music in my iPod mini, I really only listen to like the same 200 or so songs? I have found this to be the case even with friends that have the higher capacity ipods. They tend to listen to the same groups of songs. They really don’t switch it up until they decide to just let it play randomly, but even then it tends to choose mostly played songs. I’m glad I only have the 6GBs worth, because it would suck to try and find that one song I just have to listen to. I have that a lot.

How do you listen to your ipod?
