The Station Agent revolves around a man who inherits an old train station in the middle of nowhere. He’s a train groupie, and basically loves trains. He’s an antisocial guy just enjoying his life alone until he moves into the station. There he befriends two people, a very talkative guy that runs an ice cream truck and a lady that is longing for companionship.

Overall, the movie is pretty good, although slow at times, by the end, its one of those movies that are well worth the watch. It’s an indie flick. There’s definitely a great story and the way that the relationships begins and ends is pretty good.

It’s hard to write a review for this type of movie since it’s not the typical movie. The overall pacing is pretty level. There isn’t any really big scenes that overshadow any other. Some interesting scenes was when the station agent gets pushed by another guy outside of a bar and the scene where he passes out on the train tracks.

If you like indie flicks, you should get this.

Easy…This movie is pretty good. It stars a real cute chick names marguerite moreau. She also gets nekkid. =D but that’s besides the point. This movie is about a girl looking for love in all of the wrong places, and wants to find true love. I don’t want to give away the ending or anything, but it’s not your typical movie. Let’s just leave it at that.

I would recommend this movie for one of those days where you’re just bored and want to see a cute chick nekkid. It’s pretty entertaining as you watch the main character, Jamie, go from being the easy chick to someone that wants more.

Let’s face it…she’s cute. She’s a ho. nuff said.

There is a great article over at C|Net that talks about how a company will begin putting ads into these videos so that the creator can get paid.

This is a particularly interesting idea, because regardless of how it gets distributed, the create will still get paid. I wonder how they will track this though. Especially if its distributed through bit torrent. Who’s to say that a person won’t download their own video a million times and watch it a million times. I bet they would have to have the ability to track by ip address. I would then create a key for the video to play. this key/codec would be downloaded from our servers so that it will initiate the video to play. This would allow us to track the number of times a video is played, track ip address, and check the region. Otherwise, how owuld you know how much to pay the creator?

Check it out nonetheless. It’s a pretty interesting idea.

Verigame.com, a secondary market review site has launched. The site reviews other sites that sell virtual goods to players for games like World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy online, Everquest, and more. They are still in beta, so there isn’t a lot of content.

Leave it to the porn peddlers to take advantage of new technology and toys. PovPod.com has created some content for the iPod that plays video.

They have some free clips too. But yeesh. Isn’t it always the adult industry that begins using new tech before it really gets into the mainstream? Granted this isn’t anything really groundbreaking but it is still pretty interesting. Talk about violating personal space.

Not sure if I’m late to the party or not, but I just got this email from CompUSA that said that due to all of the Good Guys stores closing, customers can find the same products and great customer service at CompUSA.

WTF? I can’t believe Good Guys even lasted this long. I remember when they were the only tech store in my neighborhood. They were’nt too bad, but they were seriously overpriced. Then Best Buy opened up, and I never went to Good Guys again. I remember one day when they announced that they will no longer carry computers, but be THE place for audio and video entertainment. I went to the store, and again, overpriced and their sales people were pretty lame.

Just wanted to note this. I’m not sure if CompUSA bought Good Guys or what, but we’ll see how long CompUSA lasts, as I haven’t really bought anything from them because they are a bit overpriced as well.

I just read this interesting little column from Wired. Pretty interesting in regards to how technology should be used for everyday life.

I personally think technology should be used to enhance your life, by making things easier, more efficient, and faster. But there’s the whole thing about just because you can do it, doesn’t mean you should do it. I like the line he uses when he states that using a computer is like masturbation. It’s best done in the privacy of your own home. This is in regards to working on your laptop in a cafe. Yes, I’ve done it. I’m guilty of it, but I have toned it down a bit. Which is why I’m shopping around for a smartphone or a kick ass pda. Really though, it’s all about living your life and communicating with others as opposed to just working anywhere and everywhere just because you can.
