New iPods
Finally after much speculation, Apple launched their new iPod line dubbed the iPod nano. These are smaller than the iPod mini hence the name nano. They sport a color screen and are available in 2 Gb and 4 GB flavors. They are ideal for the active person in your life because they are flash based players, which means no moving parts!
How awesome is this? Pretty dang awesome, but I can’t see this being a really good thing for Apple. Even though they also launched the iPod phone, it seems like the iPod boat is running out of steam. What they really need to do is get the video iPod out that can play divx movies and other formats out of the box. If they hold out too long, they may actually lose the whole halo effect as the current batch of portable media players support windows only. Let’s go Steve! Get the iPod video out! And while your at it, get the iTablet out!
