Turn your dead self into a diamond
Lately I have been thinking a lot about mortality, both my own and some close family members. I had always wondered how I would like to be remembered and what I’d like to do to remember those around me, and I remember i came across a company that makes a diamond out of you. Since diamonds are really just highly compressed carbon and yourself is really just carbon as well, it makes sense that under high pressures you can create a diamond out of your ashes. The company that does this is called LifeGem. The prices seem ok, but really, isn’t it priceless to get your loved one turned into a diamond? Plus it’s like the gift that keeps on giving, because if I got turned into a diamond, then my kids can give their special someone me as an engagement ring. Talk about family heirloom!
The way I see it for myself, is that I’d like to get myself turned into a diamond and create some sort of family jewel where other family members who have also been turned into diamonds can be put onto. So instead of getting a family plot, it would literally be the family jewels. I wonder if any of my other family members would like to do it. The costs for it really seems reasonable when compared to the costs for a burial and cemetary plot, because those can cost thousands of dollars as well.
Something to think about my friends. How would you like to taken care of? Cemetary plot? Cremation? Or be turned into an everlasting DIAMOND!?
