An interesting dream
I had an interesting dream last night. With all of the current hoopla with the company and pondering my future and the fate of the world, this came to me…a job offer from Adagio. The offer was in the area of product development and rolling out a retail chain which is what our original plan was. The dream came out really interesting as they let me keep the Paper Street brand and that was what the name of the retail stores would be because it’s more scalable than Adagio. The name also caters to the younger crowd…Thinking about it, this could be interesting to do especially with what I have in mind for our stores and the menu. Plus the margins are way better.
There was a point where we took over some Starbucks stores. I could only assume that this is because I read an article that said that Starbucks have now begun cannibalizing their own stores by opening too many in close proximity, especially in New York. This is the only way for Starbucks to keep growing, and keep earnings up.
Anyhow, let’s say in a few years, if this ever happened, and we grow rapidly I wouldn’t be surprised to see Starbucks eyeing to make a buy and go full force into the tea business. Their Tazo line, although it isn’t bad, it isn’t that great either. Plus, they really aren’t rockin’ the tea blended drinks that could be made nor are they really pushing that brand. What Starbucks need, and what we all need is for Paper Street to be made! In all seriousness what they need is to create a separate store that has all of the same stuff but instead of coffee, have tea.
This isn’t a big surprise to anyone that has been drinking tea and got tired of hot or iced. But the big surprise is that not many people have done it. I want to do it! Adagio can do it! Paper Street Teas…well…one day we’ll do it!
So that was my dream. It actually makes some sense to go to work for Adagio and develop the Paper Street Teas brand for the younger crowd and get them hooked onto drinking healthy teas for once.
Ahhh….if only.
