Jesus and Satan were having an ongoing argument about who was better on the computer. They had been going at it for days, and frankly God was tired of hearing all the bickering.

Finally fed up, God said, “THAT’S IT! I have had enough. I am going to set up a test that will run for two hours, and from those results, I will judge who does the better job.”

So Satan and Jesus sat down at the keyboards and typed away.
They moused.
They faxed.
They e-mailed.
They e-mailed with attachments.
They downloaded.
They did spreadsheets.
They wrote reports.
They created labels and cards.
They created charts and graphs.
They did some genealogy reports.
They did every job known to man.

Jesus worked with heavenly efficiency and Satan was faster than hell. Then, ten minutes before their time was up, lightning suddenly flashed across the sky, thunder rolled, rain poured! , and, of course, the power went off.

Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word known in the underworld. Jesus just sighed.

Finally the electricity came back on, and each of them restarted their computers. Satan started searching frantically,screaming: “It’s gone! It’s all GONE!” “I lost everything when the power went out!”

Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all of his files from the previous two hours of work. Satan observed this and became irrated.
“Wait!” he screamed. “That’s not fair! He cheated! How come he has all his work and I don’t have any?”
God just shrugged and said, “Jesus Saves”

Who got the PSP? I was thisclose to getting one but then I got my credit card bill. Oye! But enough of my financial situation. If you picked up a PSP, then you MUST check out the PSP Video 9. This is a program that will convert many different video formats to the PSP format. This can really help you get some of that porn onto your PSP so you can enjoy them in…private.

This can really be the killer app that can perhaps really push Portable Media Players into the main stream. This could also bring Sony back to life, after they failed to capitalize on the mp3 market. Perhaps this is their second wind after they ushered in portable radios with the walkman. If PSPcasting does catch on, and I have no doubt that it will, then Apple needs to seriously respond with the some kick ass VideoPod, which I doubt, but it would be awesome nonetheless.

The main thing about PSPcasting isn’t that you can just watch movies without Sony’s UMD format discs, but it could mean that you could potentially couple it with Tivo ToGo and just watch your favorite shows, or really just use BitTorrent. You could also create your own video footage and do whatever whacky stuff you’d like to do. If I had the budget, I would get everyone on my team one and distribute videos of seminars and lectures that I’ve been to and have all of them watch them. Yes I could simply post it on an intranet, but really, what would be the point if you have to be at a computer? And where’s the fun in that? It could be the greatest business!

One another note, I wouldn’t be surprised to see that pron is really the one industry that will fully take advantage of this.

Who else should take advantage of this? The movie industry! How? It’s simple really. They can offer some free content (yeah, like that will ever happen) and then plug some new shows or movies by way of previews. Kind of like to the good ole internet days when you can watch some great videos for free but you have to sit through some sort of ad in the beginning. I would like to see sites like iFilm.com and atomfilms.com take advantage and allow the unknown people take advantage of this medium.

Only time will tell.

Logitech Harmony 880 . This looks like a great universal remote, it even has a color screen! This totally blows away any other remote that I have encountered. And don’t worry about this eating up all of you batteriees. It comes with a rechargeable li-ion battery and a docking station. Once th is puppy comes out, you should check it out for yourself. It’ll be pretty spiffy for all you remote hounds.

Here are my thoughts to ensure the PSPs success for years to…er, come. Contact the adult film industry and have them put on some Wicked and Vivid (hehe) films onto the UMD format. And I’ll bet you that the UMD format will fly off the shelves.

Why stop there? Why not preload some PMPs with pron! Ha, that looks funny. PMPs + pron = one slapped up ho. hahaha. If I were a PMP (of course I am, my mommy told me so) developer I would totally strike a deal and make one that is preloaded, and also has some kick ass skin on it. Maybe shape the buttons like a nipplet. I know I’m not the only one that thought about this.

Who would win in a battle of PSP vs PMP? I would have to go with the PMP. Why? Well, it has storage for one. And it also has tv-out capabilities. That just totally rocks. Yes the PSP is great, you can play games, but really, I like the idea of docking my PMP onto my dashboard and just playing my favorite movies or shows. That just rocks. Plus everyone can enjoy it with the bigger scree, unlike a PSP.

But if I had the money I would still get the PSP.

I know I haven’t been posting as often. Let’s face it, there are too many gadgets out there. In the hopes of making a better quality site, I will focus my energies more on quality vs quantity. Which means more indepth coverage of the latest tech gear and the impact it can have on us, or lack thereof.

So on that note, I will start this discussion.

I have been pondering this question this past week, and I have come up with the answer. It’s not Intel. It’s not Apple. It’s definitely not Microsoft. It’s PRON! (no, that isn’t a typo). I keep trying to think about what really pushes technology and what makes it become standard, or at least more accessible, and the only constant in each category was the adult film industry.

Going back to the good old days of yore, when videotapes just started coming out, who really made the technology blossom? We’d all like to think that it was because we were now able to record shows and watch them at our own convenience, or watch blockbuster movies at home. Well folks, sorry to burst your bubble. The biggest reason why video became such a huge hit and what made it accessible was…you guessed it.

Jump to the future to the mid 90’s and what was the new technology? Streaming video over the internet. This actually ushered in 3 different technologies. The internet. The webcam. Broadband internet. At first this technology was really just for enthusiasts and people who wanted to chat with video…ho hum. But then someone had the bright idea of putting up a webcam in some girls dorm and BAM! All of a sudden, people were logging on and…logging off. Many people went from the slow dial ups, upgraded to 56Kbps modems, and the ultimate was getting either cable modem or dsl. Man, that was the cream of the crop, especialy if you could get it or ISDN. Either way, it allowed for all of us…er, all of…fine, us, to watch multiple cams at the same time and at higher refresh rates.

And now, who will pave the road to video on your cell phone? Yup. You guessed it.

How do they do it? It’s obvious. The adult industry looks at how they can exploit new technologies. They aren’t scared of trying out new things, new positions, or new tricks, unlike some of their other brethren. Plus they know that they fill a need and wants. Even though most people I know don’t like to admit that we don’t watch it, we all know we do. It’s people like us that are the true early adopters that help bring the costs down of each new technology development so that it then becomes accessible to everyone else. Think about it. The adult film industry isn’t a multi-BILLION dollar industry because no one watches porn.

So let’s thank our fellow man and computer nerds for making all of these great technologies accessible!

Just saw a preview for this show called Grey’s Anatomy. Looks pretty interesting. The best part of it is that Katherine Heigl is on it. Mmmm…Katherine Heigl. Do you remember her? The hot chick from Roswell and some other movies. Mmm…

Sandra Oh is also on it, probably the only korean-american actress I’ve seen regularly. She was on one of my favorite HBO shows, Arli$$.

Overall, I would say this show looks like yet another pumped up medical drama show. Basically a more dramatized version of my favorite medical show…SCRUBS! You know the one…The one with Zach Braff from Garden State.

Just a heads up on that. Still trying to figure out what direction I want to take with this blog.

The founder of excite has an interesting blog entry at Bnoopy regarding the long tail end on how to make money off of your customers. It seems that while at Excite.com they made their money off of the 3% of searches because those were the most searched while 97% of their searches were one time searches. They couldn’t figure out how to monetize that traffic. Then Overture and Google came along and figured it out. Well Overture did it first, but Google did it better. Anyhow, this is an interesting insight, as it really shows that businesses can succeed so long as you are not trying to compete for the same small piece of the pie.

One thing as an entrepreneur myself is to figure out how to make as many sells, in my current case, the tea industry, and see what area of the tea industry is not being met. I feel that we did this with the ability to create custom tea blends without having to purchase a large amount and without incurring any type of setup fees. This has proven to be pretty successful for those that are willing to try to create their own custom tea blends. But most of our customers just choose to drink what we have on hand. So what can the long tail end be for those in the tea industry?

It could be bagged loose leaf teas, but there are already big players in this arena. Could it be bottled teas? Here too are already many players addressing this business area.

What could it be? The only thing I can think of is the specialty tea business. Of which I can’t get into because these are trade secrets but there has to be something that we can do online that isn’t being addressed. There are some recipes that we have put up in our Tea Villa Tea Community.
