So the iPod Photo has come out! Woohoo!!! Look at this baby. 65K color screen that displays the album cover, uses itunes 4.7 and of course….you can use it to play movies on a tv!

Color screen, 40 or 60 gb haddrives and has video out capability with sound through the rca cables dock.

And there is the black U2 version of the iPod and you get a $50 coupon for the new U2 album which is like $149!

And iTunes launched in 9 more european countries!

So the treo 650 out but it doesn’t go up to my expectations. I mean so what if it doesn’t have the 1.3mp camera, like we had all hoped. So what if it doesn’t have built in wi-fi. So what if it only has 23 mb of usable memory.

But WTF are they thinking when they aren’t even going to support wi-fi through SDIO!? Seriously, now I am really thinking about not upgrading to the treo 650 yet. That’s the deal killer right there. Stupid Palm. I bet if Handspring still ran the shit it would totally have wi-fi built in and offer 128 mb of usable memory.

Cheap bastards! I’m glad I sold their stock!

One thing I’ve learned about working in the mall, is that quite a lot of time passes by. I mean, I was able to finish Angels and Demons which is like a 600 page book in under 2 days. Another thing is of course the number of looky-loos. I mean seriously, there are so many. I didn’t think there’d be that many but there is!

It’s like internet traffic. Only a small percentage actually buys anythihng. That’s so ridiculous. It’s almost like 1% or something, but I don’t know the numbers for sure, since I don’t count everyone visiting. But we’ll see. Considering that all of last week, I only sold 1 set, it’s not a good sign. Most people only want to buy them closer to X-mas. So I hope they all come back b/c then it’d be worth it.

So on SNL apparently ashlee simpson was lip synching because the wrong tape came up and she was mouthing the wrong song. Not that I care, b/c I can’t stand her voice, something about it makes my ears bleed.

So when I saw this in this mornings entertainment section I thought it was hilarious. Seriously. It’s like yet another thing she can’t do as well as her older sister…the yummy big headed and big toothed Jessica Simpson…Did I mention she had big boobies too? haha.

Man, I wish I actually watched that episode, that probably would have been the highlight of the show.

There is this new IM add-on being developed at Groove Alliance, a Sherman Oaks, CA company. This is going to be interesting as they say that their game engine adds to existing IM software to allow multi player games between people. I think that SPAM won’t be too far behind this as they say that the best way for advertising with this new engine, if you see a spaceship in a space game, it can have an ad on it the links to the website. This spaceship can then be sent to your friend while playing. Something like that, this is going to be an interesting model.

We’ll see what happens when they launch the sucka!

Man, I knew I should have taken that janitorial job when I was offered it a few years back. They said because of my extensive experience in web development and hardware capabilities, that I am just barely qualified to be their janitor. They offered me some stock and a nice benefits package, but I said nay. Oh how I wish I didn’t say nay.

Everywhere I go, there is someone selling poker chips, frys, staples, even costco. I didn’t realize how far this has gone, I just thought it was on a lot on tv, but dang, working in the mall and selling poker chips, it seems like everyone and their moms plays poker or thinks they can play poker. Now I’m not an expert, but dang, all these people coming to the cart and trying to do the chip shuffle or whatevers. These people are really annoying, they don’t buy anything and all they do is talk about poker and say how they are really into it. I know, if yer really that into it, buy some freegin poker chips!

Here’s a typical conversation:

me: how’s it going?
them: good, just lookin
me: have any questions? let me know.
t: ok…did you watch the wsop 2004?
m: yeah, we’re playing it right now
t: did you know that there were over 2000 people playing this year?
m: really? (of course I did! I watch this thing all day, everyday! and its 2,610!)
t: Yeah, i’ve been playing for only a few months now but I can read everyone.
m: right on.
t: I’m going to try to go to next years WSOP. I’ve been playing online to practice.
m: sounds cool.
t: yeah, if yer good, they pay the buy in.
m: sweet. good luck with that.

customer is trying to do the chip shuffle with the clay chips.

m: those clay chips right there are all clay and only $100 for the 300 pcs.
t: cool. but I’m just lookin, I already have chips I bought from costco.
m: right on.
t: alright, see ya

WTF?! Costco? You might as well buy your chips from rite-aid. You say you want to be like the high rollers in vegas and yet you buy the chips from costco? The all plastic crap? The reason why it was so cheap was because its all plastic!

Could it be? A flash memory based ipod? Yup. Looks like a go. The manufacrturer confirms that Apple ordered a bunch of flash memory and also they have said that they created the flash player for Apple.

Check out some the story at ipodlounge. I don’t know what to say about this, as a flash based ipod would be interesting, but the whole concept seems retarded unless they make it so that it’s under $100. Otherwise what’s the point? But we’ll see what happens this coming week.
